After years of discussion, we have paired with the College of Communications at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) to develop a Center for Brand Values Communication and Research on their campus. Enriched with information from The Values Institute here at DGWB (TVI), the center will become the world’s first university-based center dedicated to studying the link between brand values, corporate communications and resulting consumer trust.
Center Directors and associate professors, Mark Guohua Wu, Ph.D., and Patty Malone, Ph.D., will partner with our very own Mike Wiseman, TVI founder and president/co-founder of DGWB, to connect theory, research, and instruction through various research and outreach tools.
The Center will also recommend curricula to provide a values-based context to existing CSUF and other university communications programs, starting with an immediate professional studies certification program geared toward mid-managers taught by CSUF faculty and industry leaders.
To introduce the center, we attended a celebration this past Tuesday, November 12th, at the Crevier Classic Car Showdown, where the Center’s founders announced a three-year, $75,000 gift from the Crevier Family Foundation.
We are very excited to see Mike Weisman’s dream become a reality and look forward to the research generated by students at the new CSUF center!
