The Values Institute at DGWB is part of the annual Most Trustworthy Brands event that celebrates the local brands that are doing the best job at connecting with their customers.
This year, 10 local brands based in, or commonly associated with, Orange County have been selected for exemplary public trust and social entrepreneurialism following a six-month survey and peer review effort organized by The Values Institute at DGWB and OC METRO. The brands will be feted at the 3rd Annual Orange County Trust Summit in front of more than 400 Southern California business and nonprofit leaders, marketing strategists and entrepreneurs June 12 at the Disneyland Hotel.
The 2012 Most Trustworthy Brands: Orange County Edition™ honorees include the Anaheim Ducks, Automobile Club of Southern California, Black & Decker, Discovery Science Center, Goodwill of Orange County, Kaiser Permanente, Oakley, South Coast Plaza, Wahoo’s Fish Taco and Whole Foods. To read more about each brand, see the June 2012 cover story of OC METRO magazine, now on newsstands, or go to www.ocmetro.com.
DGWB Co-Founder/President and Values Institute Founder Mike Weisman recognizes consumer trust as the one corporate asset that separates good brands from great brands.
Said Weisman: “These household names are prime examples of those great brands that are as successful in the customer and public mindset as they are at the cash register.”
In addition to revealing the 10 Most Trustworthy Brands: Orange County Edition™ honorees for 2012, organized jointly by The Values Institute at DGWB and OC METRO, the OC Trust Summit will feature a panel discussion and Q&A about trust building best practices by past Most Trustworthy Brands. California State University, Fullerton will also be introduced as a 2012 Most Trustworthy Brands academic and event partner.
Also scheduled is a keynote speech by Mandy Levenberg, one of the country’s foremost experts on cause-related marketing. This prolific consumer strategist from the global trends company Iconoculture will share how she’s helped companies like Amazon, Starbucks, General Mills, Procter & Gamble, The Gap and Taco Bell fuel brand trust and authentic customer relationships through inspired corporate social responsibility.
